Pastor Joseph Fricke grew up in Watertown, Wisconsin where he attended Northwestern Preparatory School. He graduated in 1989 from Northwestern College in Watertown and continued to study for the pastoral ministry at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. He graduated in 1993. Since 1993, Pastor Fricke was assigned to serve Zion Lutheran church in Valentine, Nebraska. In 2000 he accepted a call to serve as pastor of Grace Lutheran church in Portland, Oregon. He accepted a call to St. Paul’s in Mauston, Wisconsin in 2004. While in Mauston the congregation started a mission congregation in Adams-Friendship, WI. They dedicated a new church building on September 27. Joe and his wife Becky were married in 1990 and have been blessed with four children: Lucas, Evan, Emily, and Haley.
Pastor Fricke was installed at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church on October 18, 2020.
